Too Much Mass

No,

I am not talking about Catholic religious functions, at least not yet. I am referring to a situation I ran into in the store about two weeks ago. I was in the process of purchasing the necessary supplies to do a little grilling. One item on the menu was beer can chicken. I was about to traverse the airplane hangar sized store to checkout, when I realized that I had bottles of beer as opposed to cans. No big deal right? Wrong. I wanted a six pack of beer, nothing fancy, to cook a chicken with. However, apparently, you can only buy six packs of tallboys nowadays, because 6-12oz cans just didn't cut it....those extra 24 oz make all the difference. You have to buy a twelve pack to get the 12oz cans. I think this is a travesty. What is next, you can only buy 50 gallons of gas at a time, you have to buy 2 gallons of milk at once, you have to order more than one bride from Russia. I just don't have the stomach for that kind of overkill. If you need to reach me, I will be talking on my cellphone/two-way/mp3 player/camera/plutonic laser/wallet/kitchen knife.

I Never Saw It Coming

For those of you that stay abreast of the Steak's blog, I would like to draw your attention to the most recent comment posted in response to the Wifebeater blog. A talent identifying his or herself with the pseudonym Muzzle Flash, has delivered an excellent addenum to the wifebeater post, so check out the comment, you can thank me later. Not a lot going on as of late, and I seemed to have temporarily lost my creative libido, I thought I would take the easy way out. I have decided to compile a list of songs that I have been consumed with as of late, along with some help from others, of music that some of the faithful readers may or may not know about. The list is just one song from the given artist, but can be listened to at amazon, iTunes, or something like that. So give it the thirty second listen, and you might like it enough to pursue it further. Without further adieu......

Everybody's Mofro

Where the Devil Don't Stay The Drive By Truckers

Wishbones Slaid Cleaves

Leaving Trunk Taj Mahal

Level The Raconteurs

Son's Gonna Rise Citizen Cope

The Banks of The Deep End Gov't Mule

Benzie Box DangerDoom

Crying At Midnight Seth James

See You In The Next Life 1100 Springs

Blues Deluxe Joe Bonamassa

Lawyers, Guns, and Money Hank Williams Jr.

This list will have to suffice until something pisses me off, or gets me interested enough to write about something other than what I think about at random times during the day. Any addenums to the list are more than welcome. If nothing else, it will give you something to look up on the internet while you are supposed to be working.

It's what's for dinner

I really can't stand animal rights activists. I could say so much on the subject, but for the sake of brevity, I have decided to focus exclusively on people who are opposed to hunting. These types of people generally fall into two categories. Some are vegetarians/vegans who are don't eat any kind of meat/animal products as a general rule. I can't even comment on this, wasting my energy of that is probably some sort of felony. Furthermore, the second group is the group that confounds and irritates me even more. On more than one occasion I have been approached with this scenario. The fact that I hunt, and enjoy hunting will enter into the conversation or discussion. Followed by some moron proceeding to tell me how cruel and awful it is to kill animals. Usually some ridiculous adjective such as "innocent" or "defenseless" is used to describe said animals. Which ultimately leads to the discovery that the other party regularly eats meat that they procure at the grocery store. Apparently, that meat is delivered to the store in a marshmallowy truck made from rainbows and poems driven by a fairy. Where do these people think that meat comes from? Apparently, as long as you don't put in actual work, i.e. hunting for the slow learners, the "innocent" and "defenseless" animal is not harmed in any way, and is magically transported to your plate by some method of molecular teleportation from an endless supply of imaginary animals. I will never understand it. The world is full of morons. Make sure when you get back from hunting to take extra gruesome pictures of the kill and be unapologetic about it, becuase we all have to eat.

Read Error

Just a quick update. Recently the Steak's computer crashed, and a new hard drive is currently being installed. That sucks enough in and of itself. Not all the files, specifically not all the music, were backed up. Therefore, I will have to piece my music collection back together once the new computer gets back only from recollection and an extensive use of my time. Furthermore, my life was somewhat debilitated by this occurrence, which pissed me off even more. I couldn't access needed files for school, business, and of course I was left sans music while working. I was almost as pissed by the fact that I had become so dependent on this machine in my everyday life. Once the world all gets hooked up the huge computer grid, and it crashes on a large scale, it will be catastrophic. People will be so lost, and only those willing to resort to cannabalism will survive in the long run. Which leads to the next post....why I can't stand people who are animal rights activist, and specifically the people who don't care for hunting.

Question of the Day

As received from my friend B....."Is a child a miniature adult, and if not, what are they?"

"Don't You Go Back To Him He's A Wifebeater"

Greetings to all the people who faithfully check this blog frequently, only to be cyber-space- stomach-punched time and again, becuase I have failed to post. I would apologize, only if you don't like it, you can create your own blog and write something to entertain the masses.

Today's topic is the wife-beater....the shirt, not anyone you know per se. The wife-beater is as enigmatic as it is functional. It some cases it seems the only choice of attire, and in others, an anathema. Who wears a wife-beater you might ask? The answer is simple: everyone. Men, women, young, old, slim, not so slim. How can something so simple, be so utilized? Well, sadly, I have no answer, what I have compiled is a list of the people that I have seen wearing a wife-beater in my lifetime. Some will be surprising, some not so....

People who beat their wife

Every white guy with a mullet on COPS, sometimes accompanied by cut-off jean shorts

Gothics - sometimes sporting the black wife-beater, so you know they are serious about Magic The Gathering

High School/College guys -the perfect way to show off all those hours in the gym. This is okay, I can handle this look, used to sport it myself, but the combo of the wife-beater with the hat with the bill to the side is almost too much. I should definitely find a way to inconspicuously sterilize those people, because we don't need more. And make more hats where the bill is straight

Old Men - old men always wear these as undershirts, which I don't completely get. I don't know what is gained from this. I really don't know what is gained from it when you tuck the wife-beater into the underwear, if someone can please explain what purpose this serves, please let me know

The punk chick who wears pink hair, 10 pound braclets, has 18 piercings, and doesn't care about anything, not even cool stuff.

People who beat their wife

Where does that leave us, and what is a wife-beater really for, I don't know. I wish I did. If anyone has any insight as to the origins/purpose of this seemingly widespread and well-loved clothing article, please let me know.
